The funds for aid to dependent chkldren in the 1972 budget provided a 100 per cent increase over the 1970 budget, and the 1970 budget provided for a 100 per
cent increase over the-1968 budget.
THE CONCERN of the legislature has been to see that the funds appropriated do not go to ineligible welfare recipients and it is obvious that increases'* in the welfare budget cannot continue at the same rate in the future as in the past.
The legislature is expected to adjourn on Saturday and this is my final report on the 1973 General Assembly. □
