ington Post a few weeks ago about odors in the Washington area merely stated that the inspectors thought FMC might be responsible. I can say that the odors were clear in both Bethesda and Hyattsville, Md. (on the east and west of D.C.) that morning and there did seem to be a resemblance to what we have detected in Front Royal.
I can’t see that Mrs. Ruffner’s argument that there are other polluters is germane to the question. One bad deed does not justify another.
I, for one, would like to hear the company’s side of the story. Why not send a reporter up to get it?
