Thrift Shop to open

THE LADIES AUXILIARY to the Washington Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Squad will soon be opening its Thrift Shop in the basement of the Post Office. The Auxiliary will appreciate any donations of used clothing and household items. This is the time to clean out attics, basements, and garages and contribute to a worthy c&use at the same time. Persons wishing to contribute these articles should call Mrs. Charles C. Burke (675-3535) or Mrs. Edward M. Clark (675-3608). Pick-up service will be provided if needed.

The Ladies Auxiliary was reorganized this past July. Its primary object is to raise money for the fire department and rescue squad. A yearly contribution will be made to the fire department and rescue squad at its annual banquet which is sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary.

The Ladies Auxiliary also sponsors dinners for the County Fire Association. The Auxiliary is actively seeking new members. The next meeting will be Monday, March 19, 7 p.m. at the firehall. L
