Charles E. Smith
U. S. Air Force Technical Sergeant Charles H. Smith of Amissville, has been selected Outstanding Noncommissioned Officer of the Quarter at Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C.
Sergeant Smith, son of Mrs. Milton G. Hitt, was selected for his outstanding duty performance, leadership and exemplary conduct. He is a management engineering technician with a unit of the Tactical Air Command which provides air support for U. S. ground forces.
The sergeant, a 1960 graduate of Rappahannock County High School, attended Mississippi State University.
His wife, La Vena, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James G. Todd, 3305 Camellia St^, Kinston, N.C.
BAKE SALE
The Senior Class of Rappahannock High is sponsoring two bake sales to be held Saturday, March 24 to help provide funds for the class trip this? year. The sales will begin at 9:30 a.m. One will be held at the Sperryville Corner Store and the other at Royal Plaza Shopping Center, Front Royal. □
