Among witnesses who crowded into the Circuit Court rooms at Warrenton and Washington last Wednesday and Thursday, only one expressed an implied approval of Vepco’s plans.
William Lineweaver, a Warrenton merchant, was the first to testify in Warrenton, and he reminded Commissioners Preston C. Shannon and Thomas P. Harwood Jr., that the commission had the responsibility to see that Northern Virginia would receive an adequate power supply.
“I am concerned,” Lineweaver said, “that Warrenton and Fauquier County be assured of a future supply of electric power.”
