baseball schedules to Keep on hand for easy reference. We’re going to have a great year. Also on the spring sports scene are the RCHS girls who have been practicing diligently and look forward to their first meet Thursday with Central at Woodstock. The meet begins at 4 p.m. and fans are not only welcomed but urged to attend. ^ . Keep this meet and Friday’s baseball game with Luray at Luray in mind and see our students come home winners.
With the season comes a crowded agenda at RCHS and this week is FHA Week. Members of the Future Homemakers Association are busy preparing for a tea Thursday afternoon for guests including Mr. Norton, our School Superintendent.
The girls are also practicing for the apple pie baking contest Friday at the school. The victor in this intramural competition will represent RCHS in th baking contest at Winchester during the Apple Blossom festivities. There competition will include girls from Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Several FHA members were utilizing their baking skills Tuesday and if you detected a peculiar odor during sixth period in the halls of RCHS it might have been the results of their attempts. I understand some students were seeing who could bake the largest cookie when suddenlj the dough spread out toe far and slid off the cookie sheet into the oven.
