Highways—which prepared the map—and by the Virginia State Travel Service and other travel organizations, and through highway information stations and rest areas.
The map is printed in four colors and features many historic and scenic locations in the state. It shows interstate routes in green, arterial and other US numbered primary highways in red and state numbered primary and major secondary routes in gray.
THE interstate and arterial highways have been superimposed on the historic and scenic map, shown on the reverse side of the travel map. The new traffic control signs, which have recently been installed in Virginia, are shown along with other up-to-date information about highways.
