TWO OF Rappahannock’s snrine teams eot eood starts this past week* The Panther baseball team took the first game of the season from the Montevideo Maroons 9-5 on the home field. Steve Leake was the winning pitcher having 6-1/2 innings with only 1 hit. Cliff Frye had 2 hits, David Thornhill had 2 while Ernie Dennis and Billy Dawson had 1 each. Doug Larimer polished the effort off with a three-run homer in the sixth inning. The next game is Friday, April 6.
