Mrs. Harris was the daughter of the late Woodson and Elizabeth Poles of Rappahannock County.
She is survived by a son, Walter; by one sister, Mrs. Annie Waters of Philadelphia; four brothers, Haywood and Woodson Poles of Washington, Va., Clarence Poles of Williamstown, N. J., and Jack Poles of Philadelphia.
A funeral service was held at the Promised Land Baptist Church, Washington on Saturday, April 7, with the pastor Rev. Robert Ausberry conducting the service. Burial was in the family cemetery.
