Miss Cornelia Jean Mitchell of Richmond became the bride of George Hiter Davis III of Bowling Green Saturday, April 7, at 4:30 p.m. in Bedford, Va. at Sunset Hill Farm, home of the bride’s parents.
’ The ceremony was performed by the Rev. William E. Pearson, Pastor of Timber Ridge Baptist Church of Bedford in the presence of the immediate families. A dinner was served following the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor A. Mitchell. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Davis Jr. of Washington, Va.
Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a dress of peau-de-soie with lace appliques and short veil. She carried an orchid on a prayer book.
