ANDREW F. KOZIK, Mayor of the Town of Washington, has asked all of the residents of the town to take pride in their community by participating in the April 14 cleanup. At this time items may be set out and will be picked up as trash.
Mr. Kozik also said. "I would like to see a beautification program started by the residents of the town. This program will consist of three categories: most improved property, best vegetable garden and best flower garden. If ten applicants send in their names as participants, to the Mayor within the month of May. a prize will be awarded on the 4th of July for each category. Prizes will be $25 for most improved: $15 for vegetable garden and $10 for flower garden.
“I hope all the citizens will participate in this beautification program, so as to make Washington. Va. the prettiest Town in Virginia, Kozik said. _
