H. L. Manwaring thought 621 at the intersection with 620 needed repairs, and J.M. Fannan said he wished the highway people would learn to distinguish between weeds and flowers.
From Wakefield District, represented by Supervisor Herbert Foster, Allen Wines and Melvin Jordan wanted improvements to Routes 610 and 662, and Mrs. Gifley thought Route 666 near Chester Gap could do with improvements.
Engineer Askew said he would do what he could, and would be in touch with the complainants later by telephone.
Granville Eastham said he had issued a plea for contributions to the Rappahannock Recreation Association for the Little League teams this year, but had received only $25.
“I know that Newbill Miller is opposed to using public funds for things like this, because he has told me so,” Eastham said.
“So, if any of you gentlemen want to make a contribution, it will be welcome.”
