Traffic injuries
A MOTORCYCLE SKIDDED and overturned March 7 on Route 211 four miles west of Sperryville. The operator, David Lawrence Simmons of Baltimore, Md., sustained lacerations and abrasions of the face, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin. Simmons skidded on a curve and lost control of the vehicle. ' Damage to it was estimated at $300.
At 1 a.m. on March 9 a single vehicle crash occurred on Route 211 three miles west of Sperryville. According to Trooper Buntin’s report, following an investigation, Roger Wilson Haynes of Etlan was operating a 65 Ford when he lost control of the car on a curve and went down an embankment on the left of the highway and turned over. The vehicle, owned by Donnie • Dodson of Sperryville, was totaled. Charges are pending.
