FIRE, RESCUE
Sperryville Rescue Squad answered two calls this week. On Friday October 4 Roy Swindler was taken from his home to Culpeper Memorial and on Sunday October 6 Lester Yates was carried from home to Culpeper Memorial. □
Good turnout
Excellent participation by fire and rescue-squad personnel has been noted by Paul A. Poling, director of the tenth annual fire school held at Amissville and sponsored by the Rappahannock county Fire and Rescue Association.
The 30 - hour course continues this weekend with classes from 8 to 4:30 Saturday and Sunday. The school is approved by the Fire Service Training and State Board of Education and is state funded.
