Starting off with some good news — the Rappahannock Cross Country Team participated in a meet at Central High School this, past Tuesday bringing back with' them a victory and a perfect score of 15 to Central’s 47. Rappahannock held the first six places with Bill Taylor coming in first; Ronnie Nicholson coming in second; Jerry Thomas third; Clifton Jenkins fourth; Raymond Groves fifth and Donell Pendleton sixth. Each of these broke the course record at Central. Congratulations Guys!
The “Iced Melons” turned out to be a success at last Friday’s dance. We even had a little on stage participation (dancing) by some willing students.
We’ve got a new piece of machinery at RCHS now, a video tape machine that’s really been coming in handy during basketball practices. Just hope the guys don’t decide to give up basketball for the movies!
There’ll be a Karate exhibition at school Thursday for the student’s .enjoyment. The group will be coming from Culpeper.
The National Honor Society met yesterday to look into possibilities of how to spend the money they have left from last year.
The prospect of having a Naional Honor Society Hoe-Down is being considered for the near future— complete with banjor picking and foot stomping. Sounds like it might be fun.
