perfect scores, 15-47. The unfortunate opponents were Montevideo and Central High Schools. In both meets, Rappahannock runners finished 1-2-3-4-5-6, blanking their opponents.
Senior Bill Taylor led the charge in each of the 2.5-3 mile events, setting new course records in each, erasing Charlie Thomas’ old record at Montevideo and establishing a fresh record on Central’s new course.
RCHS harriers placed second in the Eastern Menonite Invitational cross country meet held Saturday in Harrisonburg. Eastern Mennonite placed first with 26 points and Rappahannock had 68 points. There were nine additional schools participating.
