William Jones
William Leon Jones, 21, of Flint Hill died November 5,1974 in Front Royal. He was the son of Clarence E. Jones and Daisy Wines Jones of Flint Hill who survive. He is also survived by his maternal grandfather, Elias Wines of Chester Gap; and three brothers, Randall Wayne, Clarence Dwayne and John Curtis Jones, all at home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the chapel of Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal conducted by the Rev. Roy Mathena and the Rev. James Burke. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Charles Pond, John D. Pond II, Stephan Friski, Robbi Biggs, Gary Heier, Brad Hartley, Ronald Simar and Wayne Mills. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the By-Pass Exxon Baseball and Basketball teams.
The family will receive friends at Maddox Funeral Home from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday.□
Joel Jenkins
Joel Loving Jenkins of Flint Hill died November 2, 1974 at his residence. He was 70, a native of Rappahannock, the son of the late Joe B. and Mary Susan Jenkins. He was a retired star route mail carrier and a farmer. He was a member of the Flint Hill Baptist Church.
His wife, Mrs. Eugie Hawkins Jenkins, died in May 1972.
He is survived by five sisters, Mrs. James C. Fincham of Flint Hill, Mrs. Major Fincham, Mrs. Dewey A. Brown, Mrs. Ivan M. Jenkins and Mrs. Otis E. Burke, all of Culpeper.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Washington Baptist Church with interment in the Washington Masonic Cemetery.
