RE-ELECT JOHN WALKER JENKINS

SHERIFF OF RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY Fellow Citizens of Rappahannock County: Your vote and support will be appreciated! I am 42 years old, son of the late Luther S. and Della Jenkins, an Army veteran having served with the Courtesy Patrol. I joined the Sherriff's Office in July 1966. My grandfather, the late Joel Booten Jenkins, served the people of Rappahannock as a mail carrier for many, many years. My father served the Rappahannock people as mail carrier for 38 years. On his mail route, he transported the people of the County to and from the various towns, delivered medicine, supplies and ice for those who requested his help. Never did he refuse a favor to anyone in need. My uncle, the late Joe Atkins of Flint Hill, served in the same capacity for 39 years. Another uncle, the late Walker B. Jenkins of Washington, Virginia, served the Rappahannock people as a merchant, mail carrier and bus operator for many, many years. My brother, Luther Jenkins, is presently serving and has been serving the Rappahannock people as a mail carrier for many years. I feel my entire family has supported Rappahannock and its people for a considerable number of years. During my life I have always tried to follow my family example in being helpful and considerate to everyone and have always tried to be helpful and cooperative in every community effort. If re-elected I shall continue the same endeaver and I earnestly solicit your support. Thank you!
