Racer

Robert Racer, 78, of Sperry\ville died October 3, 1975 near his home after being struck by a truck. He was a retired farmer, the son of the late John and Elizabeth Thornton Racer of Rappahannock County.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Minnie Deavers Racer; a daughter, Miss Harriet Racer and a stepson, Walter Jenkins, both of Sperryville; two children from a former marriage; two brothers, Hugh Racer of Washington and William Racer of Berryville and a foster sister, Mrs. Janie Burke of Washington.

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Geest Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Daniel Ofill and the Rev. Crawford officiating. Burial was in the family section of Sperryville cemetery. □
