In answer to a question, Norton estimated that some 75-80 Rappahannock children will be eligible for kindergarten when it begins, but that something less than this number will actually attend. At the present time, the Virginia kindergarten program is the parents’ prerogative.
‘‘My guess is that in a year or two it will be mandatory and you will have to send your child out each morning whether you want to or not,” stated Supervisor H. B. Wood.
