deaf report
The Rappahannock Lions Club and individuals from Rappahannock County have contributed to improvements at the Virginia School for the Deaf located in Staunton. The Parent, Teacher, Counselor Association of the school has worked to foster these improvements.
The P.T.C.A. projects include j the purchase of an amplifier for j
speech classes, football uniforms, j a student emergency fund, and the installation of T.T.Y. telephones. This is a phone for use by the deaf which was installed for educational purposes as well as for safety.
Prizes given away in a recent fund rally were awarded as follows: portable TV, Carol Heisley of Lynchburg; 10 yards fabric, William MacGregor, Salem; Case motor oil, Robert Deal, Culpeper.
