IN MEMORIAM
In loving memory of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather Herbert Leake on his birthday, December 17.
It was in the month of June, we stood by his open grave
And watched them lower our father whom we would have given our lives to save.
We knew we could not awaken him, that silent soul in clay.
So we laid our hearts beside him and sadly walked away.
When days are dark and lonely and everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear him whisper, Cheer up and carry on.
To those of you who still have a father, treat him with tender care.
For you never know how much you miss him until he’s no longer there.
Love his children
