THE coining of the new year will mean a dramatic change in the driving habits of Virginia motorists. Beginning January 1, drivers in Virginia can make a right turn on a red light after coming to a complete stop and yielding to all other cars and pedestrians. The right turn on red will be permitted at all intersections in the state unless there is a clearly-marked sign stating “NO TURN ON RED.”
