demonstrations
There will be a Scout “Showand-Do” on Saturday, February 12, from 9 a.m. until noon in Rappahannock County.
As part of the Scout Week program, the Boy Scout Troops of the county will put on various Scouting skills and demonstrations. Troop 50 of Amissville will hold its demonstration at Hackley’s Store under the leadership of Clarence Dodson, scoutmaster. Troop 36 and its scoutmaster, Paul Nichols, will show Scouting Skills at the carnival grounds of the Flint Hill Fire Company.
Troop 123 under the direction of Buddy Bywaters will show skills at the parking grounds of the Episcopal Church of Washington. Troop 65 has Say Aylor as scoutmaster and will use the old fire house at Sperry ville for a demonstration.
The public is invited to visit the exhibits and see Scouting in action.
February 13 is Scout Sunday and all Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts should attend church services in uniform. Members of church-spon sored troops should attend their sponsoring church. □
