Citizens group
to hold meeting
Parents and other concerned citizens from all County districts met February 4 at the Episcopal parish hall to discuss their common interest and concern in the Rappahannock County schools. The Rev. Ronald Wiley presided as temporary chairman for discussion.
The group decided to meet February 17 at the Episcopal parish hall in Washington at 7:30 to elect officers and organize a county group for the following purposes:
“1. Continued improvement of education in our schools by a more active and better informed community.
“A. Offer greater input into County administrative and governing bodies.
‘ ‘B. Stimulate a free exchange of information regarding education from those officials to the general community and all concerned.”
All citizens, especially parents, are urged to attend. □
