Students excel
Miss Cindy Cumins of Sperryville and Miss Raye Rector of Hume were among 290 Longwood students who achieved the distinctions of earning an academic average of 3.5 (B plus) from a possible 4.0 during the first 16 weeks of the. college year.
Founded in 1839, Longwood is a general purpose institution, offering majors in 31 subject areas, as well as professional training for social work, business, the health sciences and teaching. □
BAPTIST PROGRAM
There will be a program at the First Baptist Church Sunday, February 20 sponsored by the Ushers Board for the benefit of the King and Queen Rally. The Rev. John Pendleton will be the guest speaker. Everyone is invited to attend. □
