This year the Virginia Department of Highways instituted a new process of determining road improvement in localities across the state. Instead of a single hearing at budget time for improvements and maintenance, Highway officials decided to hold public meetings on si* year secondary road improvement plans apart from budgetary considerations on maintenance projects.
Last Thursday, the Rappahannock Supervisors and resident highway engineer Don Askew dealt with the county's six year road plan at the regular Board meeting.
