Mrs. Frances Tabler reports that from the first evening opening on October 11 through January 31 fiftyfive persons have taken advantage of the Library’s 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday hours. These include browsers and newspaper readers as well as students who find the new hours convenient for research.
During frigid January 1978, 422 people visited the Library and checked out a combined total of 688 books; records and cassettes; magazines; and jigsaw puzzles.
Many snowbound county residents are enjoying books from Mrs. Margaret Abromowitz’s table of selected ‘‘Oldies but Goodies—Books You May Have Missed The First Time Around.” These will be featured through February.
