A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph O. and Emily Smith Coates and had lived in Culpeper for a number of years. She was the widow of Grover C. Printz and a member of Bethlehem Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Welford Williams of Amissville and Mrs. Walter Gore of Culpeper; two sons, C. Cecil Printz and William Printz, both of Culpeper; 11 grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren.
