Cherie Woodard, who operates Faith Mountain Herbs and Antiques in Sperryville, said that her customers have told her that they don't come by her store unless they make a special trip.
“Otherwise,” Mrs. Woodard said, “they just take 1-66 to 81. But I saw it coming and prepared for this by starting my mail-order business.”
Woodard said that the fact that she also is somewhat diversified with her herbs and antiques means that people will specifically seek her out.

Woodard added that those operating businesses fulltime will end up less hurt than those only there on weekends by providing a service to local Rappahannock people.
