Martha Ann Turner, who was indicted by the Grand Jury on May 11 for the manufacture of crack cocaine with, intent to sell and possession of cocaine, was sentenced Friday. The case for Russell Purcell Martin, indicted for. the same crime on the same date, was continued.
Decker, who represents Turner, asked that she be able to attend the Detention Center Program for treatment' and counseling. Luke pointed out that Turner had already: been through similar pro-* grams in the past and appar-^ ently not benefited from them since she had a history of and continued to be involved m illegal activities. \
Luke said under a plea: agreement he had dropped one charge and had no real problem with the idea of Turner getting treatment.
Turner was sentenced to 10 years, six years suspended, for possession of crack cocaine, and three years supervised probation. It was further ordered that she pay court costs within six months of her release from jail and enter into and successfully complete a treatment program while on probation.
