The December exhibition at the Middle Street Gallery affords visitors an opportunity to buy a variety of unique Phristmas gifts and at the same time to respond to an especially colorful and joyous exhibition of paintings, sculptures and other art forms.
A great variety of works are on view of both gallery members and artists new or not well known to us. For instance, Han Nong, currently living in Marshall but bom in Korea, has three paintings and two ceramic pieces on display. His images are spare with an oriental sophistication. His sculptures are heavy square structures, one of an abstracted cat, the other suggestive of areas of a human body. One of the pictures is of a large ceramic vase decorated with white, yellow, blue, green and red designs against a midnight blue background.
