Dec. 14 saw recordation of a Virginia Outdoors Foundation conservation easement donation by John and Beverly Sullivan. This gift protects 50 acres on the Jordan River at North Poes Road, and brings total easement /protection in Rappahannock County to 12,287 acres.
Living Nativity

A Living Nativity will be presented by the United Methodist Churches of Rappahannock County on Saturday, Dec. 22 from 0 to 9 p.m. in the red shed on Lee Highway at Sycamore Hill beside tHe Rappahannock Library.
Live animals will be used and individuals may view the event from their cars along US 211.
Bloodmobile
coming to
Washington
The community is encouraged to support the Red Cross Bloodmobile on Friday, Dec. 28 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Washington Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad Building.
This is an excellent way to give to those in need during the holiday season. The bloodmobile is sponsored by the Family and Community Educators group of Rappahannock County. If you need further information call 675-3638.

According to County Administrator, John McCarthy, "there being no business before the Board, and after consultation with the Chairman, the December 2001 meeting of the Rappahannock County Board of Zoning Appeals is hereby parceled."
