Discussion of Independence Day,2002 was none too comforting despite the new cushions.
Repeated pleas for assistance in managing the event have brought forth few volunteers, and the Council discussed' the possibility of paring the event down or even the outright cancellation of the 2002 fete.
Long-time, but now retired, RAAC Fourth of July chair Charlie Tompkins asked that the Town Council determine its direction for event, and express its desires soon. It typically takes six months to prepare for an Independence Day Celebration, and a go/no go decilould
