• RCHS English teacher Jon Heddleston is the sponsor of our new Scholastic Bowl Team. The Scholastic Bowl meets are similar to “It’s Academic” on television with which many of you may be familiar. Students are asked a variety of questions in a variety of areas including math, geography, history, current events, and more.
Members of the team are: Bruce Flinchum, Henry Robertson, Matt Ralston, Jenni Starr, Holly Long, Lea Pyne, and Morgan Blubaugh. We are very proud of these students who have gotten off to a very good start this year. The next competition at RCHS will be on Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. in the Band room. The public is always invited to attend. Each event lasts only 30 minutes and, according to Mr. Perine, is extremely exciting to watch! Please mark your calendars and plan to sit in on the next competition. Special thanks to former RCHS French teacher Cindy Wayland for acting as official Question Reader.
