Traffic became congested and vehicles lined Route 642 from Amissville toward Viewtown as hordes of Christmas tree seekers descended on Quail Call Farm, operated by Captain and Mrs. William Keim. Autos, station wagons and pickups crowded into the parking area of the farm and overflowed into the road.
Entertainment was provided for the Lions Club Christmas party Saturday evening at Panorama by Lion family members. : Chris Ingle, son of Col. and Mrs. Bob Ingle, was narrator; singing were Bob Baines, son of President R. Ashton Baines and Mrs. Baines; DeeDee Grant and Shandra Eldred, daughters of Lion and Mrs. Charlie Eldred and Dawn Watson, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Holly Pendleton.
T.C. Lea, former attorney practicing in Rappahannock and Culpeper counties, will head the new alcoholic rehabilitation | center which will open next month in Rixeyville, Culpeper ! County. Mr. Lea will hold the position of director for the facility which will be opened by Continental Care Centers of Virginia.;
