The Culpeper County /Planning Commission voted ^/Wednesday night, Dec. 12 to y\ forward Clevenger’s Corner Village Center Plan to the Culpeper County Board of Supervisors.
The plan is in the form of an addition to the Culpeper County Comprehensive Plan, Chapter XlIA, Village Center Plans. There was no opposition.
The main concern was whether there was enough ground water to support the expected 1,500 homes and 76 acres of commercial and office development. The total population by 2015 will be about 4,095 people. The plan covers 1,900 acres.
Centex’s rezoning application to build 2,700 homes and one and a half million square feet of commercial, office, and light industrial space in the southeast 'corner of the Culpeper plan is currently off the table, They ihay reapply for *1,900 homes and 750,000 Square feet of commercial, office, and light industrial development.
Centex’s original rezoning application covered 1,985 acres, with an expected population of 5,000 people.. ’ •
