The commissions action sends the Webster application to the Hoard of Supervisors with a recommendation for final approval. The supervisors are scheduled to take up the application at their next monthly meeting on Jan. 5.
After completing the Webster matter, the commission resumed its series of public hearings on the county’s Comprehensive Plan. Though this is the basic document that underpins all county policies on land use, zoning and development, the hearing drew only a small audience of nine persons who listened and offered questions and comments as the commissioners worked page-by-page through Chapter 6 of the plan, which outlines goals, principles and policies of the county on land use.
