A great breakfast was waiting for the shoppers at the Washington Fire House. While the children were busy eating, coloring pictures and receiving gifts from Santa Claus, a large group of volunteers were busy wrapping the gifts.
In five short hours everyone returned to the Sheriffs Office where the children found the wrapped presents and beautiful food baskets. The children said their good-byes to their new friends and departed for home. A joyful day was had by all.
Through this program some 73 children from 30 families will now have a much brighter holiday season.
This special event was only possible because so many people care about the children in the Rappahannock County community. And what a special community it is.
