Mr. Flournoy was a lifelong Fauquier County resident and farmer and was an enthusiast of the American Revolution and the Civil War and a history buff. He er\joyed going to schools to teach children of these historic times.
He helped to develop interest and work wit|i the Elk Run Archaeological Dig Project for preservational purposes, and was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.
