The full brother to twotime champion Ashado, this colt has the pedigree to get the distance, and if he has the class his sister carried throughout her career, he will be a force in the Derby. He’s one that could peak on May 6, but it’s unusual to find two siblings that are both accomplished athletes.
A colt that made an impressive visual showing in the slop in the Wood Memorial was JaziL Nicely bred, Jazil closed like a freight train, and considering die early speed in this year’s Derby, this is one that benefits from some suicidal fractions on the front end. Jazil could be the horse that’s flying at the wire, which very well could put him into the winner’s circle at a nice price.
