The County of Fauquier is seeking qualified applicants to perform technical engineering work in the Department of Community Development. Duties include Hydrologic, Hydraulic, and Technical review of Subdivision Plans, Site Plans, and Construction Plans; enforcement of applicable programs, codes, and ordinances; and inspection of active project sites. This position also provides technical assistance to the public, development community, government officials and other agencies.
Qualified applicants should have a BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or closely related fields, supplemented by four years previous experience and/or training that includes civil engineering, land development, water resource management and erosion/sedimentation control. Prefer applicants possess and maintain valid Virginia Professional Engineering (PE.) license. This is a full time permanent position with starting salary of $53,050 to $68,964 with excellent fringe benefits.
