Dorothy Warner was busy in the kitchen arranging trays of food while Rev. Phil Bailey played host greeting and welcoming all who came.
Pastor John Pendleton looked very dapper as he graciously helped others with cups of punch and plates of food. Wilbur Bridget beamed “I have a wonderful family, I am blessed,” he said as he mused on approaching his nineties.
Lots of food, lots of presents and door prizes and lots of good will and cheer are always hallmarks of this annual tradition for the seniors of Rappahannock County and this year was no exception.
If you were one of the lucky ones to find yourself visiting with some of Rappahannock’s older and wiser residents, it was a gift in itself.
