PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE
ZONING & SUBDIVISION CHAPTERS
OF THE RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY CODE
On Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at 7:00PM, the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors shall hold a Public Hearing at the Courthouse in Washington, VA, to consider amendments to the Zoning & Subdivision Chapters of the Rappahannock County Code.
These amendments relate to approved zoning districts, definitions, additional standards, and minimum requirements for a variety of uses, and represent corrections, emendations & deletions that have been accumulating under the Planning Commission's purview for some years. There is also a redrafting of the Floodplain Overlay District in order to comply with Federal Emergency Management Agency standards for qualifying for the National Flood Insurance Program.
The complete text of the proposed amendments is available for public inspection from 8:30AM-4:30PM Monday-Friday at the County Administration & Zoning Office, 290 Gay Street, Washington, Virginia.
