It seemed as though the entire county of Rappahannock was in attendance to see the high school class of2008 on to its future, or at least it felt that way
With the school's gymnasium packed and students, parents, teachers and friend* overtiming, into the hallway, commencement programs were used as fens to cool spectators Saturday morning while S3 seniors received their diplomas.
“As we pursue our futures, it is Rappahannock we come back to,* Valedictorian Jonathan Edward Butler told the audience. “I made a phone call last night to someone to ask for advice...they said to just say what you always wanted to. I love you guys.*.
Butler later said, “l tried to make it heartfelt, tried to do it the best I could, and be loud.*
While Butler received top honors for Rappahannock this year. Osha Kondori was right behind him and earned the title of Salutatorian for the 3003 class.
“It could have gone either way Osha easily deserved it as I did.* Butler said
