In the 100-mile ride, Rectortown veterinarian Dr. Jeannie Waldron’s None Such Amira placed eighth with rider Lynne Gilbert of Raphine. Waldron’s Wonder Witch placed ninth with rider Mackenzie Canard of Philomont. Canard. 14, was the first junior to finish the 100-mile ride while Wonder Witch had High Vet Score for 100 milers.
In the 55-mile ride. ISR Prince Shaval, an Arabian gelding ridden by Judie Ricci of Sumerduck. placed fourth, with Tams Lil Clipper, a halfArabian gelding ridden by Dr. Miriam Anver of Rectortown in fifth.
Making their first Old Dominion appearance, Dr. Janet French’s Tennessee Walking Horse mare Stormy, and Patty Cordts’ Quarter Horse mare Lilly, finished the 25-mile limited distance in the top 20; both horses are stabled at Meadow Springs Training Center in Sumerduck.

The nation’s oldest “junior-run” show, the Warrenton Rmy Show returns to town next week for its 89th renewal. Held at the historic Warrenton Horse Show grounds, the P>ny Show runs July 2-6, with classes at the A-rated event beginning at 8 a.m. each day
Admission is free, and classes range from equitation, all sizes of pony divisions, childrens hunters, breeding classes, amateurs, and Connemara and Caspian ponies.
