than a few years ago, when I played on a Little League team in suburban New Jersey we managed to play a whole nine innings, sometimes 10 or more before it got dark. I can remember one time when the game had to be called because it was just too dark to see the pitch. It didn’t really matter how the game was called — all I remember of the incident is that we had a good time.
