(THH) oners several trail rides, open to the public, every spring and summer.
All riders, western or English, are invited to participate. These rides are very good for green horses to learn to ride in company and are valuable for seasoned horses and riders to keep them legged up.
The fee of $25 per horse and rider (children under 12 are free) includes a raidway drink break and a sumptuous lunch, often including fried chicken, stuffed eggs, potato salad, slices of melons and cookies galore. Thornton Hill Hounds invites you to join them for this fun and friendly day.
On Sunday, June 29. the group will depart at 10 a.m. from Chancellor's Gate, about Vz mile south of Montpelier on 231, next to the little yellow house between 618 and 707. Look for the THH sign. On Sunday, July 27, the group will convene at 10 a.m. at Five Forks Farm on Rudasill Rd., and route 620. Again, look for the THH sign.
