All successfully completed the rigorous Emergency Medical Technician course offered as part of the rebuilding effort of the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad (SVRS).
The community is grateful to this group of men and women that has devoted long hours to training and will continue to do so by responding at any hour of the day or night to calls to complete requirements for final certification.
SVRS has the largest geographic area to cover in Rappahannock County. This new group will join our current roster of EMTs that includes Donald Gore, Katherine Vaughn, Stacy Atkins, Geraldine Payne, Josh Waddell and Jamie Matthews, bringing the number from six to 13.
Many new volunteers are providing administrative support and the Board of Directors has hired a consultant to improve overall organizational development and functioning. SVRS rebuilding is well on its way to achieving the goal of improved emergency services for Sperryville.
