This is what it boils down to. Seeking to stretch county rules by inviting industries outside of agriculture and tourism will enrich a few at the expense of the many and will change this beautiful and unique place for the worse.
Furthermore, as we can see with our own eyes, development and “growth" in surrounding counties has spelled economic doom for agriculture as industry brings population which brings housing which forces land prices up which pressures farmers to sell and move out. Now, why would we want that to happen here'.’
Mr. Dareing. we don’t need a bigger school system, bigger police forces and bigger county government. We don't need traffic lights, congestion and crime. Enjoy the place in which you live and support its agriculture and tourism. That's where the real growth should take place.
